Introduction to Believe in Bumble and Favourite Podcasts!

Hello!

Welcome to my first blog post. I am a 22-year-old from London. I have decided to call my blog Believe in Bumble. Bumble has been my nickname since my teens due to my clumsy nature and the “Believe in” is because alliteration is soothing to the soul (or is that just me!?). I have recently been diagnosed with depression and anxiety, this blog to remind myself about the brighter side of life. My blog will be about whatever takes my fancy whether that is days out, baking, crafts, favourite products or book reviews.

Today I am going to write about my top three favourite podcasts. Recently I have started to use podcasts as a coping strategy as they provide a helpful distraction and make me smile.

The Guilty Feminist- Deborah Frances-White

The first episode I listened to was Episode 12 “Worth” because it included special guest Sarah Millican, who is one of my favourite comedians. However, I quickly fell in love with the show. The show opens with Deborah and her special guest stating, “I’m a feminist but”, before saying something they do that contradicts feminism. These are always funny and are a helpful reminder that not everybody is perfect (which my depression sometimes makes me think). Each episode focuses on a topic such as worth, being bossy and motherhood. It is refreshing to hear different perspectives on the topics as it allows me to explore my thoughts on the topic. I plan to see them live when they next come to London.

Happy Place- Fearne Cotton

Fearne Cotton chats to celebrities such as Dawn French, Emma Willis and Matt Haig about their life, and how they maintain happiness. They laid back feel, allows the guests to be honest which I am grateful for. I enjoy learning about other people’s life experiences as it reminds me I am not alone and that there is hope.

Happy Mum Happy Baby- Giovanna Fletcher

This podcast follows on from Giovanna’s book Happy Mum Happy Baby (definitely worth a read), guests discuss the highs and lows of motherhood. I am not a mother yet myself (though can’t wait to be in the future!), this podcast provides a realistic expectation of motherhood. Again, this episode feels like being part of a conversation which is a great comfort when I feel lonely. A couple of episodes particularly stood out to me, the episode of Jo Malone I found inspiring, learning how she overcame personal struggles and how they helped her to build her successful business. The other episode was with Michelle and Elle, discussing baby loss. Their stories were heart-breaking, but I do believe it is important to discuss. I also found hope in this episode as knowing they got through their grief reminds me nothing in life lasts forever.

I am always keen to listen to new podcasts, so let me know if you have any recommendations please do let me know!

With Love,

E. x

Booja-Booja Fine De Champagne Truffles Review

Now, who doesn't love chocolate? I certainly do! Though, I try not to eat it too often partly because I know it is not good for you and partly because dairy can make me bloat (attractive, I know!!). These Booja-Booja Fine De Champagne Truffles are by far my favourite chocolate treat. They are dairy-free and only contain six natural ingredients. Unlike most dairy-free chocolates I have tried these actually melt in your mouth and have a smooth centre similar to the creamy and smooth centre of Lindt truffles. The light champagne taste is subtle and comes as more of a refreshing aftertaste. It takes a lot of willpower for me not to eat the whole box in one sitting! The packaging is also beautiful making them a lovely gift for friends, family and even for yourself!  What is your favourite sweet treat?  Love,  E. x

Day Out: Camden Market, Primrose Hill and Regents Park

Hope you are all enjoying your bank holiday weekend so far! Today, as the weather was the perfect summers day, sunny with a fresh breeze, I decided to take a walk. I started at Camden Town walking through Camden Market, Primrose Hill and Regents Park before getting the tube home from Baker Street. Prepare yourself for a lot of photos in this blog post, which I hope you enjoy as much as enjoyed taking them! Camden Shop Fronts When I first arrived at Camden Town the first thing that caught my eye was the bold shop displays. All brightly coloured, some with impressive 3D features which you can't help but admire. Pret a Manger and Acessorize Shop Fronts. 3D Shop Fronts More 3D Shop Fronts. Favourite Teas August 2018

What is nicer than sitting down after a long day with a cup of tea and a sweet treat? (perhaps a Booja-Booja truffle! see review here: https://bit.ly/2vw8BBg ). Here are my top five favourite teas at the moment. Irish Breakfast- Barry's Tea I buy this Irish tea from the world foods section of my supermarket. For years I didn't drink breakfast tea as to me it tasted like dishwater. How very un-British of me! That was until earlier this year when I tried Barry's Tea. Barry's tea tastes stronger than other breakfast teas I have tried and it has a sweet yet earthy taste. The perfect drink for a quiet evening in. Bedtime Infusion- Sainsbury's  I brought this tea when I had trouble sleeping with my anxiety. The tea itself tastes like sweet camomile and smells like lavender. The whole experience of drinking this tea very calming and is the perfect way to wind down after a busy day or went I feel on edge. Pure Peppermint- Twinings Peppermint tea is...
