Smashed Burger - Gluten Free Bun with Chickpea Burger and Sweet Potato Fries.

Happy Saturday! Hope you are enjoying your weekend so far. Today as we are continuing to have wonderful weather in the UK my boyfriend and I decided to head to Brighton to explore somewhere new and get some fresh sea air!

We packed our raincoats (luckily we didn't need them) and travelled on the Gatwick Express, which only took one hour. When we arrived we made our way downhill towards the beach. We visited the Lanes which were covered in colourful bunting which looking charming. A few standout stores were Creased Cards, for comical birthday cards, Fidra Jewellers filled with stunning antique jewellery (I felt like Disney's Ariel in her cave of treasures) and Choccywoccydoodah who's chocolate window display was so impressive (see photo above).

After a walking along the beach, we headed towards British Airways i360 (photos above). I was a little bit apprehensive as I am not a huge fan of heights but was excited to see the amazing view. As a side note, it was absolutely fine, as the pod moved slowly and you could not see directly below you. The whole 'flight' took about twenty minutes. The views as you can see from the photos above were stunning! I particularly enjoyed seeing the paintings displayed on the top of a couple of the roofs (see photos above). We also enjoyed a cheeky tub of Sussex Ice Cream Company in the flavour, Marmalade and Honeycomb. It was the most delicious ice cream, I have ever had. It was so light, yet so indulgent.

After we headed off to Smash Burger. My boyfriend and I first went to Smash Burger in Newcastle Upon Tyne and fell in love with it. My burger, Chickpea burger on a gluten free bun was yummy and the sweet potato fries where gorgeous just the right amount of crispiness and sweetness.

After lunch we wandered back up to the train station, popping into any shops that took our fancy. We then hopped on the Gatwick Express back to London.

Today was my first trip to Brighton and it was a really lovely day out. Next time I would love to experience the British Airways i360 in the dark and walk along Brighton Pier.

What else would you recommend to do in Brighton?

Love,

E.x

  1. I really want to try Smash Burger! I went the other week with my boyfriend and we went to Globallz for a game of golf which was so much fun and then to The Breakfast Club for lunch which I totally recommend (the chicken wrap is sooooo good!)

Booja-Booja Fine De Champagne Truffles Review

Now, who doesn't love chocolate? I certainly do! Though, I try not to eat it too often partly because I know it is not good for you and partly because dairy can make me bloat (attractive, I know!!). These Booja-Booja Fine De Champagne Truffles are by far my favourite chocolate treat. They are dairy-free and only contain six natural ingredients. Unlike most dairy-free chocolates I have tried these actually melt in your mouth and have a smooth centre similar to the creamy and smooth centre of Lindt truffles. The light champagne taste is subtle and comes as more of a refreshing aftertaste. It takes a lot of willpower for me not to eat the whole box in one sitting! The packaging is also beautiful making them a lovely gift for friends, family and even for yourself!  What is your favourite sweet treat?  Love,  E. x

Day Out: Camden Market, Primrose Hill and Regents Park

Hope you are all enjoying your bank holiday weekend so far! Today, as the weather was the perfect summers day, sunny with a fresh breeze, I decided to take a walk. I started at Camden Town walking through Camden Market, Primrose Hill and Regents Park before getting the tube home from Baker Street. Prepare yourself for a lot of photos in this blog post, which I hope you enjoy as much as enjoyed taking them! Camden Shop Fronts When I first arrived at Camden Town the first thing that caught my eye was the bold shop displays. All brightly coloured, some with impressive 3D features which you can't help but admire. Pret a Manger and Acessorize Shop Fronts. 3D Shop Fronts More 3D Shop Fronts. Favourite Teas August 2018

What is nicer than sitting down after a long day with a cup of tea and a sweet treat? (perhaps a Booja-Booja truffle! see review here: https://bit.ly/2vw8BBg ). Here are my top five favourite teas at the moment. Irish Breakfast- Barry's Tea I buy this Irish tea from the world foods section of my supermarket. For years I didn't drink breakfast tea as to me it tasted like dishwater. How very un-British of me! That was until earlier this year when I tried Barry's Tea. Barry's tea tastes stronger than other breakfast teas I have tried and it has a sweet yet earthy taste. The perfect drink for a quiet evening in. Bedtime Infusion- Sainsbury's  I brought this tea when I had trouble sleeping with my anxiety. The tea itself tastes like sweet camomile and smells like lavender. The whole experience of drinking this tea very calming and is the perfect way to wind down after a busy day or went I feel on edge. Pure Peppermint- Twinings Peppermint tea is...
